A stunning graphic novel with a nice balance of creepy and adorable.

Every time I go to the library and tell myself I’m not going to get any more graphic novels, I still have the habit of looking down the aisle. This book was laying on its side so it stood out to me. Clearly my impulse control is not up to code, because here I am having checked the book out and read it. And I absolutely loved it. In the end, I am glad I pulled it off the shelf.

This book is absolutely gorgeous. I loved all of the bright colors and whimsical artwork. There is also just enough creepiness to suck the reader in. It’s not too scary, but just unsettling enough. And there is enough cuteness to leave you with a good feeling at the end. I loved Sandy’s character. She was instantly likable and I was intrigued by her story from the start.

A very good graphic novel that has a fairly simple plot but insanely gorgeous artwork.
