A fantastic collection of poetry. Covering topics such as music, death, play, siblings, and history, the poems are paired with expressive illustrations. A perfect balance of joy and relatable issues that are relevant to young readers.
I started listing some of my favorites, but honestly each poem is perfect in its own way. Some standouts include “Honey, I Love”, “Keepsake”, “Way Down in the Music”, and “Harriet Tubman”.
Masterfully written. A beautiful collection. This is the first I’ve read from Greenfield, but will certainly not be the last.
