A delightful and humorous story about finding balance between social and alone time.

Jasper the introverted Sasquatch is looking for a hobby. He thinks turnip gardening will be a great way to keep busy. What he doesn’t anticipate is the battle against the group of deer that wants to eat all of his turnips. Join Jasper as he thinks up new ways to keep everyone away… until he realizes maybe he doesn’t have to.

Love the message of this book. It shows that it’s perfectly okay to prioritize alone time. I love that Jasper was able to set boundaries with his friends, allowing him to spend quality time with them without feeling as overwhelmed.

The illustrations are wonderful. Bright and colorful with plenty of chaotic humor.

Includes an Author’s Note at the end that examines the importance of recognizing our own needs and being able to balance time with friends with time alone.

Sweet characters, engaging illustrations. Such a fun read.
