Fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. Haunting artwork. Fascinating backstory. Did not want to stop reading.
After the failed ceremony, Shiva remains locked away in the Inside where she is visited by a mysterious stranger who reveals some of the Inside’s history. The bulk of this volume follows the king and the religious leader as they figure out how to move forward.
This volume gives us so much insight into the inner workings of the Inside in terms of their rulers, their religious teachings, and their history. Love that we got to learn more about the world.
This honestly may be my favorite in the series so far because up until now I’ve just been along for the ride, not really knowing what is going on. Getting a peek into the curse and how it has affected humanity has really connected some dots and moved the story along.
This series has built so nicely. I am really looking forward to how it all wraps up. Can’t wait to read the next volume.
