An engaging and fun resource for learning about various aspects of Juneteenth including its history and cultural significance.

The book opens with a great introduction to Juneteenth. From there, different concepts are explored for each letter of the alphabet. The text highlights ways Juneteenth is celebrated, important figures in history, and related historical moments such as the Jim Crow era and the Civil War, as well as ways to get involved in your community.

Throughout the book are breakout sections that discuss vocabulary, fun facts, related information, and reflection questions and activities to help readers connect the material to their own lives and experiences.

Nice illustrations that wonderfully represent the concepts for each letter.

Also includes a short glossary of terms at the back and a list of resources for continued learning.

A wonderful read. Informative and engaging with themes of history, hope, and community.
