Illustrated by Ana Sanfelippo

A sweet story about what to do when you get separated from your grownup. Rafa is shopping with his Mama when he pursues a stray berry and loses sight of her. How will he ever find Mama in the sea of wrong legs?

Wonderfully written. I loved the alliteration throughout. Entertaining and nicely shows what to do and what not to do when you are lost.

Sweet illustrations. Great details. I loved the depiction of Rafa running around looking for Mama while Mama is also looking for him. They keep missing each other, which is a great representation of why it’s important to stay put or get help from another grownup instead of running away.

Includes discussion questions at the end as well as suggestions for what to do when you are lost and how to tell is someone works at the store.

A great resource for talking about what to do when you can’t find your grownup.
