The Night Library is unique in its mission. It solely houses the private libraries of deceased authors. Otoha Higuchi takes a job there and delves into a world of passionate book-lovers, odd patrons, book-themed dishes, and a few mysteries.
I loved the cozy atmosphere of the Night Library. The story provides fairly low-stakes mysteries with interesting encounters with library visitors. It explores human interactions, past grievances, and continuing legacies through books.
The food descriptions are fantastic. I found all of them interesting, even the ones from the authors and books I wasn’t familiar with.
Atmospheric and warm with a comfortable pace. A wonderful combination of a passion for books and good food.
