Newly-out Carter is looking for a hook up. He sets his sights on classmate, Adrian, who’s hung up on someone else. Will the two see eye-to-eye or are they destined to forever get on each other’s nerves?

Before reading this, I had not read the web comic so this was my first encounter with Carter and Adrian’s story.

I honestly almost DNF’ed this one. It was really hard to get past the beginning of the book. Carter pursues Adrian relentlessly, despite Adrian telling him multiple times that he’s not interested. After a while, they abruptly start liking each other for real. Once they got together, there were some cute moments, but the start was very off-putting and creepy.

Nice artwork overall. The changing art styles throughout gave it an inconsistent feel. The first 80-pages contain new, softer, more cartoony artwork than the original comic. The rest of the book has more of the realistic style of the original.

Overall, okay read. Not a whole lot happened. I found the slice-of-life comic inserts more interesting than most of the story. The second half was fine and had some sweet moments, but the entire beginning was difficult to get over.
