A delightfully sweet story of magic, problem-solving, and helping others.
Welcome to Shellville! Join Blue as they deliver orders for their mother’s bakery and help people all over town. From missing guinea pigs to big messes to keeping a loved one’s memory alive, Blue practices their magic and comes up with some creative solutions to problems.
Such a great story with wonderful themes. Blue makes mistakes along the way, but owns up to them and works to find solutions.
I love that the story isn’t about Blue’s gender identity. They’re nonbinary with no additional explanations or other characters having an issue with it.
The artwork is so cute. Colorful and sweet, the illustrations pair well with the story and nicely break up the text.
Wonderfully cozy with nice LGBTQ+ rep. Great for fans of Kiki’s Delivery Service (love that Kiki makes an appearance in the illustrations).
Includes a recipe for Mama Moon’s Beach Crumble at the end.
I really enjoyed this one. Looking forward to reading more in this series.
