When the Solstice Blessing turns into a violent political coup, twins Grayson and Hawke must flee their home. They find refuge in the Communion of Blue where girls and women learn to spin the threads of reality. While Hawke (now Hanna) feels stifled and wants nothing more than to avenge the family and reclaim his place in the noble house, hiding in the communion allows Grayce the freedom to live as her true self.

A fast-paced story with plenty of action and secrecy. Explores themes of truth, identity, loyalty, and being yourself.

The artwork is stunning. The blue really shines through.

The Communion of Blue was definitely my favorite part. The rituals and magic system was really interesting. I do wish they were a little most developed though.

While I really enjoyed watching Grayce figure out her identity and find a home, the characters felt a bit flat for me throughout the story.

Overall, a good read with some interesting elements at play. I really enjoyed the concept of the Communion of Blue.
