Rain is a rather unconventional fairy. She doesn’t like glitter and sparkles. She’d rather play in the mud and enjoy a storm. While Rain isn’t thrilled to join the Fairy Scouts, it’s the only way to earn her magic. But when she has to work with a team of other scouts to build their own clubhouse, she’s not so sure she has what it takes.
A fun story. I enjoyed the worldbuilding and magic system.
As a relatively grumpy person, I enjoyed Rain as a character. She learns to work as a team, but doesn’t have to change who she is. Her new friends recognize the benefits of having alone time.
Loved the art style. The black-and-white illustrations work well to break up the text and they pair nicely with the story.
A nice, engaging read for fans of magic, fairies, and fantasy. Will definitely be reading the other books in the series. I’m excited to learn more about the various members of the Fairy Scout Friends.
