An action-packed volume with cool world building and fun humor.
Rakuro (player name Sunraku) loves “trash games”, the more bugs, the better. But when he tries the god-tier Shangri-La Frontier, his whole world changes. Using the skills and experience he’s gained from playing kusoge, he takes on daunting tasks, beastly foes, and some unexpected scenarios.
I really enjoy the concept of this one and the jumps between the real world and the world of SLF.
Great artwork. The visuals really brought the characters and world to life, especially the action scenes.
I’m not a huge fight scene person, but I did enjoy Sunraku’s explanations of the different game dynamics. And I’m so happy Emul was in the first volume, because she is my absolute favorite. Can’t wait to see more of Rei-chan as well.
There’s also a prose bonus story about Sunraku, Modor Katzo, and Pencil Knight playing Berserk Online Passion, which was cool to read.
A fun read overall. I did watch the anime first so I mostly knew what to expect, but I enjoyed the flow of the manga the art style.
