A beautiful story of a child whose fear keeps her from connecting with others after moving to a new country.
This is such a great metaphor for fear. At the beginning, the girl sees her Fear as a friend who keeps her safe, but after big changes, Fear becomes too overprotective, preventing her from eating, sleeping, exploring her new home, and meeting the new people around her. But soon she realizes everyone has their own Fear and that sharing them can bring them closer together.
I loved the perspective that fear isn’t a bad thing. It can help keep you safe. But it doesn’t have to stop you from making new connections and trying new things.
I absolutely loved the artwork. Soft and lovely with wonderful expression. I adore Sanna’s art style.
