A fantastic conclusion to a heartfelt series.

Over the last few weeks, the Origuchi family has been hosting Mike, Yaichi’s late brother’s husband from Canada. Mike’s visit has been filled with wonderful bonding moments, uncomfortable conversations, and eye-opening experiences. It has also brought Yaichi closer to his daughter, made him confront his own homophobic thinking, and forced him to face his estranged relationship with his brother.

Such a great series. I love how much Yaichi matured in this volume. Mike and Kana are still the sweetest. I loved watching them interact.

A fantastic look at the damage done when the LGBTQ community is forced to stay silent. The book nicely challenges cultural norms and the perceived “acceptance” of LGBTQ people in Japan. I really enjoyed all the little moments of connection and the huge impact Mike’s visit had on everyone close to the family.

The artwork is fantastic. The emotion really comes through in the visuals.

This is such a sweet, wonderful story. A great series with a heartfelt ending.
