Cozy, reflective, and soothing.

The Chibineko Kitchen provides a unique opportunity. There you can receive a special kagezen, a remembrance meal, which may come with the chance to talk to a deceased loved one again. Told through a collection of interconnected stories, follow those seeking connection and closure as they seek out one last conversation with their loved ones.

Beautifully written. I instantly connected with the characters and did not want to stop reading. The story itself explores relationships between brother and sister, first loves, husband and wife, and mother and son.

Heartwarming and sweet with mouthwatering descriptions of food. I really enjoyed learning about the different meals and ingredients tied to Chiba Prefecture.

A wonderful combination of cats, food, and healing. Perfect for fans of Before the Coffee Gets Cold and the The Kamogawa Food Detectives.

I was thrilled to learn this is part of a series and I can’t wait to read more.
