Told with sympathy, understanding, and humor, the book walks through different aspects of a loved one dying.
This was such a wonderful read. Was not expecting to enjoy it as much as I did. I especially love that it points out some of the confusing things people say to children (“She’s only sleeping.”, “We lost her.”) and how they aren’t very helpful for understanding death.
Wonderful, engaging collage artwork. Loved the combination of fabric, photos, 3-D materials, speech bubbles, and outline drawing.
At the end are some suggested ways to remember those who have died and to stay connected to them.
A sympathetic, relatable, and practical book for working through grief and understanding death.
