A beautiful manga with sweet characters and wonderful messages about calling out injustice and fighting for your beliefs.

In a kingdom that doesn’t allow the so-called Unhuman, beings born with magical powers, Princess Mio prepares for her betrothal to Prince Chika. But Mio has a secret… she’s a mermaid. Her father will do whatever it takes to make Mio human, but when a mysterious new tutor arrives, Mio starts to wonder if being human is what she truly desires.

Great start to a manga series. I was hooked from the beginning.

The artwork is absolutely gorgeous.

The story incorporates themes of questioning authority, discrimination, and doing what you think is right.

Also includes the story “Eno’s Fight, Part 1: A Chance Meeting”, which is set in the same world and follows Eno, a young angel girl working at a sideshow who begins questioning her role.

Engaging and sweet. Looking forward to reading the next volume.
