After her demon-summoning ritual takes a dramatic turn, Camille Severin is left in her childhood home to hone her skills for her next attempt at the ritual. But slowly Camille begins to uncover her family’s secrets and realizes everything is not as she’d always believed.
Magic, mystery, and secrets dwell in the Louisiana swamps. A physically beautiful book, this volume collects the first 27 episodes along with a bonus chapter. Past traumas, societal expectations, toxic family relationships, and a bit of romance combine in this story of self-discovery.
Gorgeous artwork. I’m really intrigued by the different families and types of magic.
I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the book. Didn’t feel like we got a whole lot of story in the first volume. It mostly sets up the world and backstory. But I’m still interested in where it goes. Will likely continue with the next volume.
