Loved the messaging. The book showcases all the colors in your life, from the colors you choose (clothing, favorite colors) to the colors that are part of you (skin, eyes).
I initially enjoyed the rhythm, rhyme, and repetition, but they aren’t consistent. This had so much potential to be a great read aloud. But the rhythm fluctuates which gives it an awkward flow at times. I wish the repetition of the title had been consistent because it was such a great moment for kids to join in on.
Nice, bright illustrations that celebrate so many different colors.
A sweet book overall. Feels a bit too long and unnecessarily drawn out, but has some wonderful visuals and nice messages about celebrating your colors and your true self.
