A sweet board book celebrating different skin colors. I loved the interactive aspects of the book, from the spinning wheel to a spot to look at and incorporate your own skin color to those presented in the book. Talks about people having different skin colors and showcases different marks and features such as freckles and vitiligo.
Cute illustrations. Includes wonderful diversity not just in terms of skin colors but also characters with hearing aids, wearing hijab, different hair styles and textures, different ages, and using wheelchairs.
Nice rhyme scheme. Includes small factual breakout sections and questions for children to reflect on to help them engage more deeply with the topic.
A nice way to start talking about how people have different skin colors and features. Great themes of appreciating the beauty of your own unique skin and the skin of others.
