A beautiful story of family, hope, and the ties between people and places.

Follow the journey of a single rope passed down through three generations and used for a variety of purposes, from clotheslines to jump ropes to practicing knots. The rope joins the family as they experience big changes such as moving to a new place, having a baby, and going to college.

Lovely artwork.

A touching story. I love the way the rope links the family members together and connects them to their roots in South Carolina. Nice balance between tradition and change and great themes of family, community, and connectedness.
