A spicy paranormal romance that puts a modern spin on A Christmas Carol.

Harriet loves all things Christmas, but when a Ghost of Christmas Past comes to haunt her, they’re both a little confused about the assignment. As they visit her holiday past, they uncover something deeper than either of them expected.

Interesting concept for a story. I liked the idea of an organization of ghosts showing people the error of their ways.

Overall, the writing was good and their was some cute Christmas-y charm.

I will admit I’m not really a romance person. I found Nolan creepy at times, like seriously stop shaming her for the pajamas she wears in the privacy of her own home, sir. Some of the spicy scenes were really cringy, but I also don’t really like spice so maybe that’s just me.

I also don’t really understand Nolan as a ghost. He’s more like a magical immortal who just happened to die a hundred years ago.

I couldn’t help thinking the entire time that Harriet really needs to make more friends. Too much time was spent on the romance/soul mate plotline and I really just needed someone to let her know her feelings are valid aside from a romantic partner.

The ending was cute, but mostly left me with a lot of questions… (bit of a spoiler ahead).

<spoiler> Like can this hot Irish ghost get a job now? Does he magically have a social security number? Is he considered alive again? Also, he seems legitimately confused about everyday aspects of modern life (even though he’s been a ghost witnessing it this entire time), so how is he going to fit in and be part of Harriet’s life? </spoiler>

Overall, a cute book with some feel-good moments. I can’t help but get stuck on some of the unclear details, but overall it was a good read.
