A gorgeous, soothing homage to libraries and reading. As a librarian, I may be a little bias, but this book is absolute perfection.
The lyrical text celebrates the different versions of ourselves we live out when we read and the wonderful places our imagination can take us.
The illustrations are vibrant and perfectly capture the dream-like state of getting lost in a good book.
At the back is a powerful anecdote from Giovanni about her first library and the wonderful librarian who did whatever she could to get Giovanni the perfect read.
A beautiful, lyrical expression of the power of libraries and the people who work there.
