A sweet, gentle story. Lou loves visiting Grandad and Pops on Saturdays. But one Saturday, something terrible happens and Pops gets hurt. Lou makes a plan to cheer him up with the help of Grandad and their neighbors.
The illustrations are lovely. Loved the soft colors and sweet details.
I also loved that Lou has two grandfathers and it is not specifically addressed, just presented as a normal part of life.
Includes themes of family, aging, mental health, disability, accessibility, and perseverance, persistence and patience.
A nice book that tackles some difficult topics and works in community, kindness, and caring for those you love.
