A sweet story of the strength of community and the power of individuals.
It’s the day before the talent show and Aurora is nervous to perform. She manifests a butterfly using ASL, which travels the world, inspiring Deaf children to add to the flurry of butterflies. They make their way back to Aurora, bolstering her courage and showing her she can do anything.
The illustrations are absolutely gorgeous. I love the wonderful use of color and the magical visuals of the growing storm of butterflies.
A beautiful story of how individuals can come together to create a massive effect. Loved the diverse representation of Deaf characters.
Includes a chart of the ASL alphabet at the end.
