A very cute, short-and-sweet book about a baby who makes her own choices. This is a great way to incorporate feminism into young children’s lives. The pictures are hilarious and the things Feminist Baby likes are very relatable (liking pink and blue, liking dolls and cars, liking to make noise). A wonderful book about liking what you like without regard for its “traditional” gender label.

While the baby in the book appears to be a girl (wears bows, dresses, and heels), I think boys can also find something to relate to. There’s some good gross-out humor that anyone can enjoy and the message still applies: it’s okay to like things because you like them, not because they are “boy” things or “girl” things.

A cute little intro to feminism.
