This was actually a good story. I work with children and read a lot of picture books based on movie/tv characters. I am actually disappointed by a lot of them because they seem to lean too much on the celebrity of the characters and therefore, don’t tell a good story.

This one however is actually entertaining and enjoyable to read. I loved the themes of friendship and sportsmanship. I also liked that the team didn’t score perfectly, which really fit with Anna’s character (she “only fell nine times”- I laughed. I really did. That is so Anna.). But they still had fun and worked well together.

The illustrations were good. I liked the amount of detail in the background. A little disappointed that the last page is literally just a closeup of the previous page, but the rest of the pictures were well done.

I enjoyed this book and think it is a good story, especially for Frozen fans. Entertaining with important lessons along the way.
