An interesting blend of history and the paranormal with plenty of mystery and secrets.

Chelsea has worked hard to shake her past as the “Ghost Girl”. She’s got new, popular friends at her fancy, new school and everything is going just fine. Until she’s forced to work at Ghost Roast, her dad’s paranormal removal company, for the summer. Things get complicated quick. There’s something sinister going on at their client’s house and Chelsea’s ties to the paranormal run deeper than her dad’s occupation.

The artwork was fantastic. I really enjoyed the art style and the colors make everything pop.

An interesting story that works in friendship, popularity, family, and morality. Doesn’t shy away from history and works in relevant details about plantations end enslavement. I think the elements were incorporated well into the story.

A little bit of romance, plenty of secrets, a few ghosts, and a lot of adventure. A fun read overall.
