A weird little story with a fun blend of cutesy and dark style. Becka has a crush on fellow university student, Kim,. When she tries to make a move, she gets swept up in Kim’s job as a part-time grim reaper. Zombies, pirate ghouls, and buff cat dads… can a simple crush overcome them all?
Weird and cute. It was a fun, quick read overall. Fast-paced storyline with plenty of action and odd humor. There is quite a bit smashed into this book, which makes it quite chaotic at times. We don’t learn much about the characters so I couldn’t really connect with them.
I do enjoy Graley’s art style and especially loved all the Sarah and Stef cameos throughout.
