Heartwarming and sweet.
Hungry ghost Gwei can’t wait to head into the city for the Ghost Festival to snack on all his favorite foods. But no matter how much he eats, he always feels empty. It isn’t until he meets another hungry little ghost that he learns maybe it’s not the food that fills you but the company you keep.
An absolutely adorable story. Nicely told.
I loved the illustrations. Gorgeous colors and wonderful designs. Of course, all of the food looks delicious.
The backmatter contains more information about the Hungry Ghost Festival, ghosts from Chinese folklore, a glossary, and a list of sources used.
This book was absolutely delightful. Loved the story. Loved the artwork. A fantastic read.
