A sweet picture book about the power of thinking.

The illustrations in this book are phenomenal! I easily got lost in the fantastical details and wonder on each page. They are beautiful and engaging. Loved the whimsical world colliding with reality.

Personally, I just couldn’t quite get behind the entire message. It promotes manifestation and positive thinking. It’s a nice lesson, but also one that may be hard for young readers to grasp, especially those who think more literally. I don’t think it was presented in an easily-comprehensible way. Also, sometimes I do think it’s helpful to embrace the storms, rather than push them away to find the sunshine.

The narration was quite repetitive. Rather than building upon itself, it reiterated the same message of thinking, seeing, and being. There is a poetic style to the text, but I didn’t find it particularly engaging.

The story was okay, but the artwork really elevated it for me. A nice, positive book for those looking to instill the values of a positive mindset.
