A heartfelt conclusion to the series. After his successful stage performance in the first book, Ponjirou is invited to audition for a TV show. Meanwhile, Konnosuke must come up with the perfect recipe for the pastry shop. Together, they help make each other’s dreams come true. In this volume, we see more of Konnosuke’s story and Ponjirou’s influence on his life and self-image. I loved seeing how their relationship developed.

This is such a sweet story. Endearing characters, great artwork, and so much encouragement.

As with the first volume, it’s not really clear if the two have a romantic connection or a very, very strong friendship. There is quite a bit of blushing, hand touching, and references to love. Either way, I enjoyed seeing how they supported each other and their relationship deepen.

I believe this is the last book, but I definitely wouldn’t mind seeing more of Konnosuke and Ponjirou.
