Another fun collection from Prelutsky, complete with wonderful illustrations from James Stevenson. Filled with silly tales told with Prelutsky’s characteristic wit, wordplay, and flowing style.

I especially enjoyed the visual poems such as the spiral formation of “I Am Stuck Inside a Seashell”, the fading text of “Hello and Good-Bye”, the back and forth pattern of “Zigzag”, and “I Am Winding Through a Maze”, which does just that. Others make use of different font sizes and styles, which add a fun element to reading. Perfect for anyone who thinks they don’t like poetry.

A great collection for young readings and those who enjoy life’s silliness. Prelutsky brings humor to household chores, the animal kingdom, food, and growing up.
