A fast-paced story of leadership, making room for new friends, and sharing a love of roller derby.
Best friends Kenzie and Shelly (a.k.a. Kenzilla and Bomb Shell) long to play roller derby but they’re too young. That is, until a new Junior Derby League starts up. Determined to make the league together, they set out to find 3 more skaters for their team. Along the way they’ll deal with jealousy, first crushes, learning to lead, and team management. Can they bring it all together to make the team?
Such a fun story. Nicely written.
I really enjoyed the characters. And I love how much they love roller derby.
The book provides a nice intro to roller derby for those who may not know the basics, but it’s fast-paced enough for fans of roller derby to also enjoy.
The artwork is great and pairs nicely with the text. It was nice having such wonderful visuals of all the characters.
A good start to the series. I’m excited to read more about The Derby Daredevils.
