Simple and sweet.

Claudia and her parents have just moved to Unicornia. Before now, Claudia didn’t even know unicorns were real, and now she’s living in a world of flying buses, a magical school, and more unicorns than she can count. She’s living the dream. But Claudia’s first day at The Unicornia Academy of Magic doesn’t go quite as well as she hoped. With the help of some new friends, Claudia will learn to face her fears and reach new heights.

A sweet story with nice themes of friendship, doing hard things, and not worrying so much what others think of you.

The stakes for the story seemed a little intense. I find it hard to believe the school expects a new kid to know how to ride a flying unicorn on her first day at magic school. Seems like that’s what the teacher is for, instead of just testing students without teaching them anything. But I’m glad her new friends were able to step in a support her.

The illustrations are very cute. Loved the pink accents.

A cute start to this chapter book series. Perfect for lovers of flying unicorns, pink, and all things cute.
