Another fun adventure into the world of Nothing. This one starts out the same as the first. Nathan wakes up in a strange place. But this time, he’s on a mission. He must reunite with his friends, find the truth about Lerina, and stop Stryx. With Nothing at war and people turning on one another, this volume is a high-stakes adventure where the characters risk it all to save their home.
I actually liked this one a little more than the first. While the first did a great job setting the stage and laying out the world, this one really picks up the pace and delivers on the action. We get to learn more about Nothing’s history and find answers to questions left open in book one.
As with the first book, the illustrations are wonderful. Loved the use of color and expression.
Same great blend of humor, adventure, suspense, and emotion as the first book with plenty of puns and wordplay. A great continuation of the series with a chance for more to follow.
