I didn’t enjoy this one quite as much as the first one, but it was still an entertaining graphic novel. I love all of the characters (Ripley is my favorite for obvious reasons) and was excited to see Jen become a bigger part of the team.

Great artwork with hilarious moments (I lost it at the curtain over the keyhole) and suspenseful ones (JO!). A very good mix of emotions in this one.

The thing I didn’t like about this one was that it felt even more random than the first one. It kind of felt like it was just tying up a bunch of loose ends from the first book. It was still fun and interesting, but not as engaging. Sometimes things got thrown in without any buildup so they felt very random. There were a few times I had to pause reading to figure out what in the world was going on.

But the plot is still really interesting and I still enjoyed the book.

Included in the book is also a short tutorial for making friendship bracelets because FRIENDSHIP TO THE MAX and all that awesomeness.

As with the first, the Lumberjanes use influential females’ names as exclamations (“Holy bell hooks!”). Awesome and empowering.

There is also a preview of Giant Days, which looks promising.

Great book. Can’t wait to read the third one.
