Illustrated by Francesca Galmozzi

3 stars

Matilda and her grandmother are preparing for the Passover seder. But this year there’s an exciting change. Matilda gets to help with the matzah ball soup. She adds her creativity to her grandmother’s recipe and together they experiment to make an out of this world creation.

A cute representation of experimenting, trying different things, and trying again when your plans don’t work out. A nice blend of tradition and change.

Sweet illustrations that perfectly capture Matilda’s relationship with her grandmother. Galmozzi also nailed the food illustrations. They are mouthwatering.

A lovely book to celebrate Passover, grandmothers, and time spent together.
