A fun story packed with mischief and oddities. Araminta is prone to trouble-making, exploring, and schemes, making for an entertaining read. Join Araminta as she hunts for ghosts, introduces the reader to her unique living situation, makes new friends, and does everything she can think of to save her beloved home.
I listened to the audiobook the first time through. It was a good length and had great narration, however I did miss out on the illustrations. Currently tracking down a copy to get the full experience but from what I’ve seen in later books the illustrations pair well with the narration.
Araminta provides unique narration and is not afraid to tell it like it is, along with exactly how she feels about the situation. Just the right amount of creepiness with tons of mayhem along the way. Loved the ending and look forward to reading further into the series.
