I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. It’s not a genre I would typically gravitate toward, but I was instantly pulled in by Braithwaite’s dark humor and dry wit.

Korede would do anything to protect her younger sister, Ayoola. But after the third boyfriend who’s wound of dead in self-defense, Korede is starting to wonder about her sibling’s dating habits. Now that Ayoola is spending time with a doctor from the hospital Korede works at, she’ll have to decide where her loyalties lie: with the man she has a crush on or with her sister who may be a serial killer. Darkly comic and wildly entertaining.

This book was fantastically written and well constructed. Straightforward with short chapters that kept me wanting to read more. Such a great read. It was fast-paced with a wonderful voice.

My only complaint is that I wish it was longer because I did not want the story to end. Entertaining to the very last page.
