Pumpkin spice and everything nice.
It’s Deja and Josie’s last autumn working at the Patch and they each have a mission. Josie to finally talk to the Fudge Girl and Deja to eat all her favorite foods at the Patch one last time. While the night doesn’t go quite according to plan, these charismatic work besties have one last epic adventure together complete with autumn fun and plenty of puns.
I ended up liking this more than I thought I would. Deja really stole the show, but both of the characters’ personalities shine through their dialogue and the artwork. The visuals in this are gorgeous. Loved the setting, character expressions, and the tiny tales happening in the background. Hicks really nailed the pumpkin patch aesthetic. A really fun, humorous adventure that delivers on all the joy of pumpkin patches, the bond between seasonal employees, and the excitement of taking chances.
Adventure, humor, friendship, and a bit of romance. This is such a sweet story.
