A whirlwind adventure starring an elf kid, a wizard-in-training, a rock troll, an impulsive leader, and a flatulent pig-dog-thing. The Quest Kids set out to rescue a town, but may have bitten off more than they can chew. Along the way, they must face a golden-pants-wearing dragon, an invisible forest, acid swamps, a rage beast, and a few more surprises.

A fun start to a series with plenty of odd adventures and gross-out humor. I enjoyed the illustration/text blend. Reminiscent of Diary of a Wimpy Kid and The Last Kids on Earth, it makes for an engaging reading experience. The artwork is fun and matches the style of the story well.

Overall, I enjoyed the book. Ned as the narrator did grate on me though, which kept me from really loving it. Still plenty of fun humor and great adventures. A nice read for those looking for a new quest.
