Illustrated by David Roberts

4 stars

I love that this series has expanded from STEM fields to activism. This was a powerful read about one girl’s passion to help others, even if it means doing things that scare her. The most realistic of the Questioneers picture books so far, this one focuses on Sofia’s efforts to create a new park for her community.

As always, the rhythm and rhymes are delightful. Fun illustrations. Roberts still brings plenty of whimsy in the visualizations of Sofia’s plans for the park and its construction. Always fun to see characters from the other books. I especially loved how they all came together in this one.

Wonderful messages about community, bravery, determination, and kindness. Such a sweet read.
