A great follow up to the first book, this one picks up right where the last one left off. Because of the narration style and in-story explanations, this could be read fine as a standalone. However, the first book is also a lot of fun so I recommend reading it.

I originally listened to the audiobook version of this. Very engaging read with great narration. However, I did miss out on the illustrations. Went back through with the e-book to see them and they pair nicely with the story.

This one is a bit darker than the first as you get more information on the past lives of the ghosts and the antics become more dire. Less mischief and more adventure as Araminta and Wanda explore and work together toward a common goal. I enjoyed seeing the development of Araminta and Wanda’s friendship. Though they get on each other’s nerves, they have a very sisterly bond which really enhances the story.

Enjoying this series so far. Fun narration and short chapter length. Excited to see what happens next in the third book.
