An interesting look into how Uber and Airbnb got to where they are today.

I checked this book out from the library to do a paper on Uber for my IT class. Because of that, I was definitely more interested in the Uber sections. The book jumps back and forth between the history of Uber and the history of Airbnb. This was an interesting approach, but at times I found it hard to remember what was going on previously before the jump.

However, Stone did a great job comparing and contrasting the two companies in their approaches and leadership styles. It was an interesting way to frame the book.

Overall, the book was well-written and very informative. Pulling from a variety of sources, this book covers a lot of ground in presenting an overview of each company including its history, challenges, controversies, leadership, and those who helped (or hinder) its process.
