A delightfully sweet story of a young girl and her favorite uncle.
When Uncle Bobby’s announces he’s getting married, Chloe isn’t so sure. She wants him to keep having fun with her. But as she spends more time with him and his fiancé, Jamie, she sees that having two special uncles is even better than one.
I absolutely adored the new illustrations. Bright, beautiful, and colorful. This is the only version of the book I have read so I can’t compare them to the original images, but I really enjoyed the re-illustrated designs.
The story itself is wonderful. I love that Chloe feels comfortable enough to talk to her mom about her feelings and that her mother encourages her to talk to Uncle Bobby about them. Nicely touches on worry and jealousy and how talking about those feelings can help alleviate them.
Such a sweet, feel-good book. Great themes of family, open communication, and enjoying time spent together.
