Through simple narration and stunning artwork, Corry explores the life and adventures of Emily Dickinson.
Along with her trusty canine companion, Dickinson explores the outdoor world, traveling through meadows and pastures, a grove of woods, a leafy forest, and a stream. Readers take a peek into Dickinson’s family life, friendships, relationship with her dog, Carlo, and her deep love for flowers.
Throughout the story, Corry works in different poems and quotations from Dickinson.
The illustrations are beautiful. Corry really captures the appeal of flowers and plants.
At the back is a bit more infromation about Dickinson and her life.
Simple and sweet. A nice way of introducing young readers to Dickinson’s poetry.
