Warning: this book will make your TBR list explode.

First off, this book is gorgeous. I love the color design and cover art. Inside, this book contains spread after spread of beautiful bookstacks and artwork. It’s a joy to look at. This is the first Bibliophile books I’ve read, and it makes me excited to explore some of Mount’s other bookish reads.

Secondly, I was blown away by the content. Harper and Mount put a lot of thought into this and it shows. I knew it would be lists of recommended diverse reads, but the organization and bonus tidbits highlighting bookstores, book people, little free libraries, illustrators, editions of books, and writing spaces added to the experience.

This book organizes recommendations based on genre and subject. With recommendations for fiction, historical fiction, mysteries, horror, romance, queer stories, middle grade, picture books, cookbooks, graphic novels, history, and so much more, there is something for everyone. Containing classics, recent releases, and everything in between, this is a wonderful resource for finding what you’re looking for based on genre, subject, and representation.

A book to be savored. Give yourself time to look up the mentioned books that interest you and note them however works for you. I made sure to always have my phone within reach so I could add them to Goodreads or immediately request them from the library. Also allow time for really taking in Mount’s amazing illustrations of the spines, covers, authors, and illustrators of each recommendation.

A fantastic read filled with wonderful recommendations. It was such a pleasure to see some of my own favorites among these pages as well as find new recommendations.
