An energetic, rhythmic read to celebrate the human body.

The simple text maintains an infectious rhythm and rhyme that is uplifting and fun. The words flow beautifully. And the detailed pictures pair wonderfully.

Every character is completely unique. They vary in their skin tones, hair types, body sizes, clothing choices, and gender expressions. The book shows people with limb differences, freckles, hijabs, vitiligo, mastectomy scars, glasses, body hair, and moles. We see people using wheelchairs, walking with service dogs, using prosthetics, and wearing hearing aids. There are pregnant people, fat people, and people with colostomy bags. And all of them are going about their daily lives, using their bodies, and experiencing joy. They go to the beach, party in a backyard, paint a mural, enjoy a day at the park, watch a movie, create art, and celebrate a birthday. I loved all the positivity as they live their lives and help one another.

Each page roughly focuses on a different body part such as eyes, hair, hands, tummies, legs, etc. A great way to discuss body parts and some of the ways bodies can differ. This is a nice place to start having conversations about body differences, expose children to differences, and help them become more comfortable with them.

A fantastically upbeat book that shows a variety of bodies with the message that they are all valid and cool and that there is no right way to have a body. Such a joyous read.
