Another story about a little girl and her dragon friend. Similar in style to the first. I still really enjoyed the gorgeous, calming illustrations and the lyrical style used to the tell the story. It is such a soothing book. Great for bedtime.

However, I was a little disappointed to see that the whole crying thing made a comeback. Can this girl do anything but cry when she faces a problem? I didn’t like this one as much as the first because of the crying. I could kind of see the reason in the first, but this one could have been handled differently. She could have at least wished for help or yelled for the dragon or something. But no, there she is again, whispering and crying.

Still a beautiful book in terms of language and illustrations. But I wish the girl had a more active role. Love the dragon, but could do without the magical crying.
